Our first vacation…(Part II)
Continued...
So did I mention, it is that time when Jayalalitha had passed away and there were riots in Chennai. Anyhow, the driver who was supposed to drive us to Puducherry appeared to be humble. Even after the disastrous cyclone, the city didn't lose its spirits. But the traffic was jam-packed. We started off in the afternoon and did take a break in between to buy snacks, water bottle. And we managed to reach Puducherry by the evening. But where was our resort. As soon as we entered the place, we realised we were lost, but soon managed to locate our destination, which was ‘Dunes Eco Village and Spa’ ( Link and other details included in the blog) located 18 kms before Puducherry while coming from Chennai.

The place appeared to be divine. It was love at first sight. The resort had everything including a private beach. Being a coastal queen, I adore sand and water. However, due to rough weather, it wasn’t advisable to go near to the beach. As we were walking towards our cottage, I could hear insects rhyming with musical waves. But after a long journey, which was quite discouraging, we decided to call it a night.
In the morning, we explored different parts of the resort. The experience was enthralling. R was overjoyed when he located seafood bar at one of the corners of the resort. We enrolled ourselves in various workshops, offered at free of cost at the resort. R was more inclined towards yoga, but I being an arty person loved my loved learning skills of pottery making.
We made memories like never before. But after an eventful morning, we were famished. The breakfast spread at the resort was scrumptious. I preferred eating local food. And I admit, I can never breakup with those chutneys they churn in the south and who will say no to those fluffy idlis and crispy dosas.
After hogging for more than 2 hours, we decided to explore French Colonies of Puducherry. So starting with Aurobindo Ashram, we managed to reach Auroville. The experience was surreal and spiritual. I wish we had some more time in Puducherry to spend. IT's a union territory and is blend of different cultures. Auroville where all the Frenchlive was so peaceful, serene and green.
CONFESSSION...
I can live there for the rest of my life. Anyhow, dreams and good trips come to an end. So here our first day at Puducherry comes to an end.

CONFESSIONS
We confess, at the end of the day, it’s food that lures us to travel. So we stopped at a local eatery to try some local food after R not letting me eat pizza at Xactasy Cafe.
